Santa Maria Manuela website

In 2024 and again in 2025, I had the good fortune to sail aboard one of Portugal’s most iconic ships, the Santa Maria Manuela.

They were journeys made memorable by the ship herself, by her wonderful crew, and by those fellow travellers one encounters on voyages like these - people who, for a few days, share the same horizon.

Below is a selection of photographs taken during those two journeys.

Also connected to these travels is a short article I wrote for The Raw Society, born from these days at sea and the memories that remained afterwards.

I was also honoured to have had my photographs used in the Santa Maria Manuela website and flyers.
